Traumatic Brain Injury
Oxycyte, as an intravenous emulsion, is in Phase II-b trials as a treatment for Traumatic Brain Injury. Trials are expected to last 12 to 18 months.

Cosmetic/OTC
The company intends to market a gel formulation of Oxycyte as a topical therapeutic agent for skin surfaces that can benefit from an oxygen-rich environment. It will be available in late fall of 2009 without prescription from the BuyDermacyte.com website.

Decompression Sickness
We believe Oxycyte emulsion may be useful in treating decompression sickness in a situation of sailors escaping from a damaged submarine. The U. S. Navy is currently conducting research using Oxycyte in this indication.

Wound Treatment
A gel from Oxycyte can be useful in treating wounds by supplying oxygen to injured tissue from the outside in. The company has filed for medical device approval for the first indication.

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Oxycyte may be beneficial in mitigating damage caused by carbon monoxide poisoning. The company intends to file an IND for this indication during 2010.

Surgical Iatrogenic Air Embolism
Our research indicates that Oxycyte is effective in removing air emboli from the blood stream. We are planning to submit a clinical trial protocol for phase II human trials in Canada, and Switzerland in 2010.

Spinal Cord Injury
Oxycyte may be an effective treatment in spinal cord injury. The company intends to file a clinical trail protocol for Phase II human trials in Switzerland in 2010.

Emergency Oxygen Treatment
VitaVent™ is a planned single-use consumer device for patients experiencing a heart attack or stroke. The company plans to file for medical device approval in 2009 and have the product on the market in 2010/2011.

  • January 13, 2009 — Oxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc. announced today that the company’s common stock will begin trading on the NASDAQ Capital Market with the opening of trading on Friday, January 15, 2010. The shares will continue to trade under the symbol OXBT. In addition, company chairman and CEO Chris Stern will be in New York to ring the opening bell at the NASDAQ one week later on Friday, January 22.
